Tangren has released the first official stills from the highly anticipated Chinese series The Imperial Doctress featuring the well-loved tandem of Wallace Huo and Liu Shishi ( who are said to be in talks for another series, a sequel to Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei, also from Tangren, but that is for another post). LSS looks fab in her blue and white doctress aofu and bizi garb, while the two princes look great in the their imperial colors.
I think WH’s character is a people person based on these stills as opposed to his brother played by Huang Xuan. I hope to see more BTS as I am really looking forward to this. I just finished watching Perfect Couple and yet has to finish BBJQ (okay, I admit I like the former more than the latter for so many reasons.) But I’m pretty sure I have a bit waiting to do before that happens so I have to be content with these stills.

A drunk Puff Kuo seems to be giving Liu Yihao a piece of her mind in these stills from the upcoming Taiwanese idol drama 喜歡·一個人/Xihuan Yi Ge Ren which has adapted an official English title Love Myself? or You. But no matter how cliche the scene is, I gotta admit, it works all the time.
Speaking of a “drunken” scene, my favorite (TW) ones have got to be Fated to Love You, My Queen and Love You.

Hu Ge candidly answered questions during the press presentation of his upcoming drama series Inspiration for Life with co-stars Yan Ni, Guo Jinglin, Joe Ma, Liu Min and the adorable veterab actress Fang Fang.
The drama shot in 2013, will finally begin airing on May 22, 2014. It is dubbed as a socio-emotional drama and will be simultaneously broadcast through different stations and platforms. I’ll probably check it out on youku, just for the love of Hu Ge if nothing else.

V-Love or 微时代之恋/Wei Shídai Zhi Lian which directly translates to tThe Micro Era of Love, is a vibrant, youthful, stylish modern drama which is basically about the lives of some 20-something guys and gals amidst the glitzy fashion industry. They are actually calling it the Chinese version of “Gossip Girl”. The main cast led by Amber Wu are relative newbies but Yang Mi enlisted some well-known friends to do a cameo (herself included) including the likes of Shawn Yue, Yan Yuan, Tan Weiwei, Zhou Bichang and South Korean actor Kim Bum (one and probably the only reason I’m interested in this).
Like most C-dramas, filming began last year and wrapped not too long ago but we haven’t heard about it’s play date until recently. Word has it that this drama will start airing in July of this year but no specific day was announced.
Anywho, I’m not exactly a fan of modern C-dramas, unless my favorites are in it but I’m willing to check this out.

Qin’s Moon The Legend of Qin 3D Official Stills
If you are a fan of wuxia especially of the ancient rpg fantasy kind, you must surely know about Qin’s Moon. If not, then you better start watching the animation and marvel on how the franchise has grown since it’s humble beginning back in 2007. It has spawed web games and 5 seasons of animated series. A live-action series is also being cooked up (under Tangren productions) but no word on who’s filling up the characters yet. I would love to see Hu Ge in it not as Jing Tianming (of course!) but in some capacity.
As promised Qin’s Moon The Movie produced by StarQ is finally heading to theaters this year. It will hit cinemas on August 8.
