Still feeling the lag from my short Christmas/New Year vacay. My body and head is just starting to get back to reality. My head is a little bit ahead in this, since I have already acknowledged the fact that it’s back to work (today!) for me but my body seems to be protesting a bit.
First, let me apologize for being M.I.A. for a short while there by the lack of posts. Did you miss me? I actually miss you all and your wonderful, colorful, crazy posts. But I have this rule not to do any blogging when I’m on vacation. I just want to be in the moment. But of course I do not cut out all social media! I tried to before but have realized that it’s impossible for me to do.
I spent Christmas and rang in 2014 with my family, good friends and a bunch of relatives. We did the customary stuff but it never gets old. The feeling of being with your loved ones on that special day is priceless. Christmas Eve was solemn but New Year’s eve was craaaaaaaaazy! I love the complete anarchy. I don’t mind the noise and merrymaking. I love how the skyline lit up at the stroke of midnight and everyone seems to be in a frenzy. Even my 1 year old niece was jumping and dancing all around. I even love the preparation. I don’t mind the cooking, on the contrary, I look forward to it every year and try to plan ahead. Yep! I can cook for the whole fam. I also enjoy talking over (a few) drinks with my best buddies and reminisce about the old times. Stories never get old no matter how many times they’ve been told.
I hope your holidays were spectacular as well.
I am thankful for all the blessings I received last year. I am grateful for what I have and will strive to pursue what I wish to have this coming year. So, hello 2014. Let’s rock!
