I finished watching this drama 3 days ago but felt so lazy to post my thoughts. Maybe it’s because I am torn as to whether I actually liked this drama or not. There were some good parts and some bad. There were some boring parts and unnecessary scenes. But then, there were also great parts and aww moments. So I guess this drama is a 70-30 for me.
I really liked Hong Guo (played by Ivy Chen) as a country lass who easily gets conned because of her naive and (too) trusting nature. She fits the role so well and she’s adorable.
Then, there’s Ling Le (Bolin Chen) who’s a womanizer but is hiding his true feelings for Hong Guo. I don’t know but, there’s just something about Chen Bolin that makes him the “ideal boyfried/friend” type. It’s the way he portrays the character that makes you want the girl to choose him over the other guy.
Fei fan (Hu ge) on the other hand was a slowburn for me. I was like…do you or do you not like her? It wasn’t until the very end that he showed some emotion. So I can’t blame Hong Guo for choosing her career over him. I would have told him the same thing ‘Why just now?”
I did like the interaction among the main characters especially since it focused on the friendship more than the love relationships. And of course, everyone got their happy endings.
