Overall, the whole thing is a joke. All of the characters are not in character according to novel or previous adaptations. The New ROCH is like a poorly designed teenage drama, more like a parody take on the whole thing than a serious wuxia series.
Many netizens already heavily criticized this from the actors to the illogical storyline with lots and lots of flaws. Sometimes, I just wonder if anyone ever sat down and point out all the flaws of the script to Yu Zheng.
